The studio
My studio is situated in Allerød, Denmark, where I have my throwing wheel and my kiln. All the objects are produces in stone ware clay, a robust material perfect for every day use in the kitchen and as tableware. And yes, you can put in the your dishwasher and oven. All items are fired twice, first bisque fired to 850 C and then glaze fired to 1250 C. This creates af hard an durable material, a little like stone. I mostly use pale clay, because it is more suitable for the bright anf vibrant colours that I like. Some times though, I choose a stone ware clay with small bites of vulcano rock into in it. This results in af beautiful freckled appearance, visible through the glaze.
Since all pieces are hand made, with a great deal of patience and love, smaller irregularities are to be expected. This means that not two peaces are completely alike.
